In recent years, many families have felt disconnected from the board’s decisions. Communication has often been unclear, and major changes have been made without enough context or explanation. That lack of transparency has created frustration, uncertainty, and doubt. It’s one of the main reasons why I have decided to run.
 

As someone who grew up in WRDSB schools and now has children in the system, I’ve seen both the strengths and the shortcomings. I know how well our schools can do, and I also see where things can and should be better. I want to help rebuild trust by encouraging clearer communication, more openness around decision‑making, and a stronger commitment to evidence‑based governance.
 

My background in construction and project management gives me a practical lens on how large organizations should operate. School boards manage major capital projects, long‑term planning, and complex budgets. WRDSB needs people who understand oversight, risk management, and how to turn plans into results. I bring experience in accountability, problem‑solving, and steady leadership skills that directly support the board’s responsibilities.
 

Ultimately, I am running because I believe public education should be transparent, student‑focused, and community‑driven. I care deeply about the quality of education we provide, and I want to ensure every school meets and exceeds provincial standards so students have strong, consistent learning environments. My goal is to bring a practical, respectful, and community-focused approach to the role, grounded in accountability and commitment to real results for students.
